Competition terms
Last updated 11 September 2026
1. Who is running this
The European Sales Trophy is organized by Sales Velocity Collective GmbH, Tannenrauchstrasse 60, 8038 Zürich, Switzerland ("we", "us", "the organizer"). You can reach us at lluis@salesvelocity.ch.
These terms cover taking part in the competition and using this website. How we handle your personal data is set out separately in our privacy notice, which forms part of this agreement. You accept both when you tick the box on the sign-up form.
2. Who can enter
To take part you must:
- be 18 or older;
- work in a sales role, whether as an SDR, an account executive, an account manager or a sales leader. You can be based anywhere in the world: the Trophy is European in name and in where the final is held, not in who may enter;
- enter as yourself, in your own name. One account per person, and nobody may compete on your behalf;
- make sure that taking part does not breach your employment contract or your employer's own rules. That is your responsibility, not ours.
People involved in running or judging the competition, and their close family, may not compete.
3. Tickets and entry
Entry is by ticket, sold through our ticketing partner. The price, any discount an ambassador has shared with you, and the payment and refund terms are the ones shown at checkout at the time you buy. Payment is handled by the ticketing provider, not by us, and we never see your card details.
Creating an account on this site is separate from buying a ticket. An account on its own does not enter you into the competition.
4. How the competition works
The Trophy runs in three stages. Stage 1 is the qualification round, a cold call role-play against an AI counterpart, scored the same way for everyone. The strongest competitors from that round are invited to the Stage 2 semi-final, a live demo call judged by sales leaders. The strongest from the semi-final are invited to the Stage 3 final in Zurich.
How many competitors advance from each stage is set by us and announced before that stage. Taking part in one stage is not a promise of a place in the next one.
You need a working internet connection, a microphone and a quiet place to take your calls. If your connection fails during a round we will try to offer you another slot, but we cannot guarantee one.
5. Judging and scores
Stage 1 is scored automatically against a fixed rubric. From the semi-final onward you are scored by human judges. Judges' decisions are final, and we do not enter into correspondence about them beyond the feedback we choose to give you.
We may correct a score that was entered wrongly, and we may re-run a round if something went wrong technically. Your score and your position are shown to you and to other signed-in competitors as described in section 9.
6. Recording your calls
Your calls in the competition are recorded. We record them so that judges can score them, so that we can give you feedback, and so that we can check a result if it is questioned.
We also use clips from recordings to promote the Trophy, for example on our website, in social posts and at events, and we may show them to partners and sponsors. Where a clip identifies you, we do that on the basis of the consent you give when you enter, and you can withdraw that consent at any time by writing to lluis@salesvelocity.ch. We will stop using your clips going forward and take down what we reasonably can, though we cannot pull back copies other people have already shared.
Withdrawing consent for promotional use does not remove you from the competition: we still keep the recording for judging while the competition runs.
For the parts of the competition you can use it for, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, edit and show recordings and photographs of your participation for the purposes set out above. You keep every other right in them.
7. Fair play
While you compete, you must not:
- have anyone else take a call for you, or use a script or notes written for you by another person during a live round;
- use real customer names, real deal details or anything else confidential to your employer or its clients in a role-play. The scenarios are invented, and your answers should be too;
- try to influence a judge, interfere with another competitor, or tamper with the platform or the scoring;
- harass, abuse or discriminate against anyone taking part, judging or organizing.
If you break these rules we may disqualify you, remove your entry from the leaderboard, and withhold or reclaim a prize. Where the breach is serious we may do so without a refund.
8. Prizes
Prizes are described on the website and may include cash prizes, travel and accommodation for the final, coaching, and awards. The prizes on offer for a given stage are the ones announced for that stage.
- Prizes are personal to the winner and cannot be transferred or exchanged, and there is no cash alternative unless we say otherwise.
- Any tax on a prize is yours to declare and pay. Travel prizes need valid travel documents, and getting those is your responsibility.
- We may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if something outside our control makes the original impossible.
9. Your profile and the leaderboard
The leaderboard is public. Anyone can open it without an account. It shows your name, your photo, your job title and company, your country, your scores and your position, and it groups you into company and country standings. Our homepage carries a snapshot of the top of it as well. Your email address and phone number are never shown on either.
Your per-competitor page, which also carries your city, your LinkedIn and your points round by round, stays behind the login: signed-in competitors, judges and organizers see it, the open internet does not.
What you put in your profile is what appears, so treat your name and company as public. Ask us if you would rather appear under initials, or not appear on the public board at all, and we will do what we reasonably can.
10. Your data
We use your data to invite you to the challenges, to run and score them, to analyse performance, and to share results with our partners and sponsors. Our privacy notice sets out exactly what we collect, who sees it and why.
You can ask us at any time to delete your data or to anonymize your entry, and we will do it. The privacy notice explains what that means in practice and what we have to keep.
11. Changes, postponement and cancellation
We may change the dates, the format or these terms. If a change matters to people who have already entered, we will tell entrants by email and update the date at the top of this page. If you do not accept a change, your remedy is to withdraw.
If we have to postpone or cancel a stage or the whole competition, we will say so as soon as we can. Refunds in that case follow the ticketing terms you bought under.
12. Our responsibility
We run the Trophy with reasonable care, but we do not promise that the site or the calls will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not responsible for your own equipment or connection.
Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits or lost business opportunities, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for your ticket.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Swiss law, and the courts of Zurich, Switzerland have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in.
14. Contact
Questions about the competition or these terms go to lluis@salesvelocity.ch.
