1. Who is responsible for your data
Sales Velocity Collective GmbH, Tannenrauchstrasse 60, 8038 Zürich, Switzerland, is the controller of the personal data described here. For anything in this notice, including a request to delete your data, write to lluis@salesvelocity.ch.
2. What we collect
What you give us
- Your account: email address and password. The password is stored only as a hash, and we never see it.
- Your profile: first and last name, job title, company, city, country, LinkedIn address, phone number and profile photo.
- Your questionnaire answers: the role track you pick and what you tell us about how you sell.
- Anything else you send us, such as an email asking a question.
What taking part produces
- Recordings of your calls in each round, including your voice and what you say.
- Your scores, the round they belong to, and the notes judges and organizers write about your performance.
- How you use the platform: whether you have watched the briefing, who you follow, and the standings we calculate from your scores.
What we collect automatically
- A login cookie, which is what keeps you signed in. It is strictly necessary, so we do not ask for consent for it.
- Standard server logs kept by our hosting provider, including your IP address, for security and troubleshooting.
We use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Videos embedded on the site load from YouTube only after you click play, and at that point YouTube may set its own cookies.
3. What we use it for, and on what basis
- Running your account and the competition (profile, scores, standings, the leaderboard and the homepage snapshot of it), and inviting you to the challenges and emailing you about rounds, results and logistics. Basis: performing our contract with you.
- Judging your calls and giving you feedback, using the recordings. Basis: performing our contract with you.
- Analysing performance: looking at scores and answers across competitors to rank the field, produce benchmarks, and improve the format and the scoring. Basis: our legitimate interest in running a fair competition and making it better. Where we publish this kind of analysis outside the competition, we do it in aggregate, without naming anyone.
- Sharing results with partners and sponsors, as set out in section 4. Basis: our legitimate interest, and yours, in the recognition and career opportunities the Trophy exists to create. You can object at any time.
- Using clips of your calls and photographs of you to promote the Trophy. Basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Keeping the platform secure and dealing with misuse or disputes. Basis: our legitimate interest, and our legal obligations.
4. Who else sees your data
- Anyone, on the leaderboard. The leaderboard is public: anyone can open it without an account, and it shows your name, photo, job title, company, country, scores and position, and groups you into company and country standings. Our homepage also carries a snapshot of the top of it. Your email address and phone number are never shown on either. Tell us if you would rather not appear and we will keep you out of it.
- Other competitors, on your profile page. Your per-competitor page gathers what you published in one place, including your city, your LinkedIn and your points round by round. That page is behind a login, so it is other signed-in competitors, judges and organizers who see it.
- Judges and organizers, who see your profile, your questionnaire answers, your recordings and your scores in order to run and judge the competition.
- Partners and sponsors. They receive your name, job title, company, country, scores, ranking and, where you have not objected to promotional use, clips of your calls.We do not give them your email address or your phone number.If a sponsor wants to reach you, they go through us, and you decide whether to reply.
- Service providers who process data on our behalf,under contract and on our instructions: our hosting and database providers, our ticketing provider, the provider of the AI role-play used in the qualification round, and our email provider.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
We never sell your personal data, and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing.
Some of these providers are outside Switzerland and the EEA. Where they are, transfers are covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard, and you can ask us for a copy.
5. How long we keep it
- Your account and profile: until you ask us to delete them, or until 24 months after the last edition you took part in, whichever comes first.
- Recordings: 12 months after the edition they belong to, then deleted. Clips you consented to us using promotionally are kept for as long as we use them, and no longer than your consent lasts.
- Scores and results: kept as part of the competition's record. Once you delete your account we keep them in anonymized form only, so past standings still add up.
- Emails and support messages: 24 months.
6. Your rights, including deletion
You can ask us at any time to delete your data, or to anonymize your entry instead, and we will do it.Anonymizing means we strip your name, photo, contact details, company and everything else that identifies you, and keep only the scores, with nothing left to tie them back to you. It is the option to choose if you want out but would rather the competition's own record stayed intact.
You also have the right to:
- ask what we hold about you, and get a copy;
- have anything wrong corrected;
- object to us sharing your results with partners and sponsors, or to any other use we base on legitimate interest;
- withdraw consent to promotional use of your recordings and photographs, at any time, without affecting what we did before you withdrew it;
- ask us to restrict what we do with your data while a dispute is open;
- receive the data you gave us in a portable format;
- complain to a supervisory authority: the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner in Switzerland, or the authority in the EU country you live in.
Write to lluis@salesvelocity.chand we will answer within one month. There is nothing to justify and no form to fill in.
Two honest limits. If you delete your data while the competition is running, you are withdrawing from it, and we cannot put you back in afterwards. And where we have to keep something by law, such as a record of a payment, we keep that and nothing more.
7. Automated scoring
The qualification round is a role-play against an AI counterpart, and the score it produces is generated automatically against a fixed rubric, the same one for everyone. Who advances out of that round is decided by us, not by the model alone, and every round from the semi-final onward is judged by people. If you think an automatic score got it wrong, tell us and a human will look at it.
8. Children
The Trophy is for working sales professionals aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data about anyone younger.
9. Changes to this notice
If we change how we use your data in a way that matters to you, we will email entrants and update the date at the top of this page.
